Volunteer! Join the Friends of the Library.
What do the Friends do?
We support the library!
Each Friend is a public relations person for the Library. We use our knowledge of the Library to build community support for Library services.
We are involved in Library activities!
We help with programs, such as the Summer Reading Program, Dr. Seuss' Birthday Party, and the Christmas Open House. Friends' volunteers help shelve books, participate in Story Hour and help with other Library activities. Most importantly, they suggest ways to improve the services to our community!
We lobby for the Library!
When a well-organized, active Friends group speaks, local government listens. A dedicated group of citizens showing their support for the Library is a strong force for accomplishing goals.
We raise money for special projects!
Through book sales and other activities, we raise money to support the Summer Reading Program, purchase needed items for the Library, and give to the Imagination Library.
The Friends meet on the fourth Thursday of odd numbered months at 6:00pm. Call the Library to confirm meeting time and place. Membership dues are only $5.00 per year for individuals or $7.50 per family, regardless of number. To join the Friends of the Spring Hill Library, stop by the Library for an application form, or call the Library at 931-486-2932 and we will send a form to you.
