Library Policies
The Library has certain policies in place to make the use of our services more convenient and more comfortable for the largest number of patrons. Please follow these simple rules:

Cell Phones:
Cell phones and pagers must be off or on silent mode. If you must take a call, please go to the vestibule to talk. Talking on the phone while at the internet computers, or in the library book area disturbs other patrons.

Children:
Children under 8 cannot check out materials unless a parent or guardian is present, and they must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the library. Children 8 to 18 must have a signed permission slip to use computers.

Smoking:
Smoking in the library building is prohibited by state law. Smoking in the restrooms is expressly prohibited.

Food and Beverages:
No food or beverages are allowed in the library, except in the meeting room during scheduled events.

Other policies are in effect for the safety and convenience of our patrons, and to govern usage of library facilities and resources. A Library Policy Manual is available at the circulation desk for anyone to examine.
