Harvey Park Greenway Plan

The City applied for and was awarded Transportation Alternatives Program grant funds to begin the development and future construction of the new Harvey Park Greenway as part of the City’s adopted our Bicycle and Greenway Plan. This 1.3 miles paved greenway will connect Harvey Park (on Miles Johnson Parkway) to Wilkes Lane, allowing access to retail areas and various neighborhoods including Autumn Ridge, The Arbors at Autumn Ridge, Belshire Village, Shannon Glen and Tanyard Springs. The project will include potential bridges or elevated walkways, additional amenities needed for a safe and aesthetic greenway, crosswalks, and signage while preserving and protecting natural vegetation along the pedestrian corridor. Construction is tentatively set to begin by September 2023 and the project will be completed by September 2025.

This is the Environmental CE document for Harvey Park Greenway approved by TDOT and approved by FHWA. With this approval, the City will now move into the design phase.
