How do I get a recycling cart?: If a recycling cart was not delivered to your home, you may request one by calling Waste Management at 1-800-607-9509.

1. What CAN be recycled?: Chipboard & Boxboard, Paper Bags, Paperback & Phone Books, Catalogs & Magazines, Junk Mail (anything that tears), Newspapers, Cardboard, Cartonboard (such as cereal boxes and shoe boxes), Frozen Food Packages, Dairy & Juice Containers, Office and School Paper, Plastic Bottles and Containers (Recycle Codes 1 and 2 only - typically marked on the bottom of the container), Aluminum Cans, Tin Cans, Steel and Bi-Metal Cans, Lids from Jars, Bottle Tops from Coke, Milk.

2. What CAN NOT be recycled?: Construction & Demolition Materials, Large Automotive Parts, Tires, White Goods, Appliances containing Freon, Medical Wastes, Hazardous Wastes (Automotive Fluids, Garden Chemicals, Paint Products, Cleaners, etc.), Electronics, Materials from Floods, Fires or Evictions, Glass, Plastic Bags (grocery bags, plastic bags that cereal comes in, garbage bags, etc.), Styrofoam, Hardcover Books, Photos, Tissue Paper, Hand Towels and Toilet Paper. No garbage of any kind, no plastic bags or other "tanglers" such as Christmas lights, cords, ropes.

3. Who owns the recycling cart?: Waste Management owns the cart. If a homeowner moves, the cart stays at the house or Waste Management will get it back. If the city ends the recycling or Waste Management is no longer the provider for our recycling, then they would retrieve all of their carts.

4. How do I get a PIN number?: Spring Hill residents should receive an instructional mailer which will contain their PIN number. You may also obtain a PIN number on-line at Recyclebank or by calling 1-888-727-2978.

5. How do I get a recycling cart?: If a recycling cart was not delivered to your home, you may request one by calling Waste Management at 1-800-607-9509.

6. If I want my recycling cart picked-up who do I call?: If you choose not to participate in the recycling program, you can request that your recycling cart be picked up by calling Waste Management at 1-800-607-9509. Please note that you will still be billed $3.58 each month on your water bill for this service whether you choose to participate or not.
